Aurelius Vega

Born to a minor Holder family in the Amarr Empire, Aurelius Vega was raised in the expectation that he would one day inherit a modest holding and the obligations that came with it. His family's fortunes were never remarkable, but neither were they insignificant. They had served the Empire for generations, administering a small collection of estates and shipping interests under the authority of a greater Holder.

From an early age, Aurelius showed little interest in the quiet politics of inheritance. He was educated in Scripture, Imperial history, and the responsibilities of the Holder class, but found himself increasingly drawn toward the stars. The old family archives contained accounts of distant territories, naval campaigns, and the exploits of capsuleers, and it was there that his fascination with spaceflight began.

His decision to become a capsuleer was not celebrated by everyone in his family. To some, immortality was a privilege to be used in service of the Empire. To others, it was an invitation to arrogance and corruption. Aurelius saw it differently. The capsule offered something his inheritance never could: the chance to determine his own worth.

He has since left the security of his family's estate behind, carrying little more than his name, his education, and the expectation that a Vega should never forget whom he represents.

He remains a loyal son of the Empire, though Aurelius has begun to suspect that loyalty and obedience are not always the same thing.

For now, he intends to see New Eden for himself.
