Then one day a capsuleer comes in. We're ordered to meet him in an Opux Yacht. We get there, and the first thing he does is curse us out – says he could fly this bitch himself without a crew. Oh, you can solo a cruiser hundreds of metres long? I threw a punch. Next thing I know, I was crippled, and I've got no idea where my case went. Appeals? Kaalakiota, Tell me! where's my justice!
But then my father died, Yurskeld, the miner who used to brag in Fountain that he raised me, left the plex more than I could spend in a lifetime. Fuck you old man, because with ten years of piloting experience, a body tougher than most, and – most of all – that mountain of cash – I bought my way into a capsule. I became one of them.
