Cake was found on an ancient shuttle crash several decades ago. Just a head in a jar basically, his consciousness dates back to the early days of interstellar travel. A man out of time, the holos from 21st century Earth still ringing in his head. It's better to have his freedom back. Since his whole life he'd been experimented on, and then came the cloning, and the rushing from star system to star system. His brain finally was brought enroute to Jita system 3000 years ago. Only to be discarded when the shuttle transporting him suffered a catastrophic life support failure. The auxilary systems were able to sustain him until he was found. Found by the University of Caille Cake has been brought back to life. To serve as a capsuleer.
Cake has gone on to become a terrific miner, hauler, and pilot. Having his start in the Roughneck Munitions corporation he has since moved on to bigger and brighter things with Temeraria Praedonum
