When the Protogen Corporation; a subsidiary of Arasaka-Kwikowski Mercantile, was siezed by the Gallente Goverment Rin's life was changed forever.
Rin's father Saburo Arasaka was researching the extra-terrestrial Protomolecule. To gain support and financial backing, he worked with members of the Gallente government to weaponize the project. After an incident on a civilian space station killed 1.5 million citizens, Saburo's most ardent supporters turned their backs and sought to tie up lose ends. All of Arasaka's companies and assets were siezed by the government and family members rounded up for questioning. Rin was at the Center for Advanced Studies during the take down. Her father's body guards were able to extract Rin from class and escape Gallente space onboard her ship, the Equinox.
While running in Caldari space, bounty hunters were about to capture Rin's ship. However Amulius Claudius, an Amarrian statesman and military veteran answered her ships distress call. After destroying the foes and assisting Rin and her crew, he learned about what happened to her family. Seeing the potential in the young woman's logistical and financial mind, Amulius hired her to his general staff. Right now she is in charge of all his logistics, mining, and asset managment.
