Bio
Raver "Grissa" Mangeiri has been aptly named for attitude: Grissa means "spirited". She has a spunky attitude with some semblance of professionalism, though only towards those whom she respects. While her opinions are expressed openly, her true emotions and loyalties are not. Her experience with others has been hard-won and left scars upon her in the form of mistrust, cynicism, and wisdom.
Like all Matari citizens, Raver's independence was highly encouraged as a child and has been one of her more defining traits. Raver is first and foremost a survivor. Her harsh encounters with the universe, and its greedy, war-driven occupants, only drove her determination to live a life she imagines.
Once upon a time, Raver's life was entrusted to a large industrial alliance. Her loyalty to the alliance was served over and over again to play the martyr. She eventually climbed the ranks to Commander and not only discovered the hidden corruption, but was told to participate in it. Raver tried at first to ignore it, but an anonymous tip sent her into a dangerous situation: two high-ranking officers were negotiating the deaths of hundreds of her former corporation colleagues as a catalyst to start a war with another alliance. Their bribes and threats to remain silent drove her away from the alliance.
She went off the radar for days, trying to regain some semblance of innocence and shake away the guilt of not standing up for the right thing. In the end, Raver could not ignore the blatant sacrifice of her former Corp and returned to the alliance headquarters. She informed her superiors that she would be taking a vacation and began to make calculated behind-the-scenes movements. She then disappeared for weeks; everyone assumed she was taken a vacation in a different system.
On the day the officers had planned, Raver rushed to the combat site without hesitation. Her target was the destroyer had already devastated dozens of her colleagues. Using her tactical combat skills, the woman managed to get through the shields of her alliance's destroyer long enough to shoot the corrupt officers responsible for the incident. She was labeled a traitor and killed on the spot.
Raver had moved several clones to a nullsec station far from the reaches of her alliance. Once her consciousness was moved to the new clone, she started a new life as an explorer.
