This illegitimate child of an Ammar socialite and rogue capsuleer was raised without close family. Father rarely leaves his capsule and mother scorns her with patrimonial distain. Although well cared for by mother's wealth--farmed out to wet nurses, nannies and girls schools since birth--she is effectively an orphan. Not surprising, her absent father is most beloved. Against mother’s wishes she has secretly been training as a capsuleer. What the future portends we cannot tell. The omen is uncertain.
