His Eminence Verement ur-Melenkari, the Most Reverend Abbot Palatine of the Abbey of the Purified Heart of Saint Venefice.
The Abbacy is an ancient tenure due to the male heirs of House Melenkurion of Ilushu-N\xe2sir, an island province of Alkabsi IV (Planet (Temperate) - Alkabsi IV). (The House is matrilineal, so the province's Holdership in prime is held by the female heir, currently the Abbot's sister, Andelain al-Cid ur-Melenkari).
The Abbey of the Purified Heart is, in itself, a fully autonomous Holdership (described as being a Palatinate within the Sarum desmesne) dedicated to the specific purpose of breeding and training slave soldiers for a variety of military duties. The level of religious indoctrination to deliver such dedicated and unwaveringly loyal servants is considered first class, and many minor noble families send their favoured children to the adjoining academy.
