Bio
The executor corporation for the holdings and enterprises of House Melenkurion.

Holders in Vassal to House Uruatri (and thence to House Sarum) in the Palatinate of Ilushu-n\xe2sir, of Alkabsi IV and Holy Patrons of the Most Sacred Abbey of the Purfied Heart of St Venefice, Defender of the True and Venerable Relics of that most Holy Saint.

The house of Melekurion is one of the most ancient bloodlines of the True Amarr. The family historians claim an unbroken line right back to the exodus from Assimia. On Amarr Island, the Melenkari were vicious warlords famous for their heavily mailed cavalry (the notorious kataphractoi of Lyr led by their feared Cid) until being soundly defeated by Amash-Akura and thence swearing eternal fealty to the Emperor and his descendants.

In AD 21399, House Melenkurion gave up their ancestral lands of Mogh on Amarr Island and accepted the fertile islands and provinces of Ilushu-N\xe2sir and D\xfbr-Sharrukin on nearby Alkabsi IV, within the Sarum desmesne. The Abbey of the Purified Heart was founded and the relics of St Venefice given a home therein. As the civil war provoked by the Moral Reforms of Heideran V broke out, House Melekurion declared for Sarum and the Emperor.

House Melekurion has two official branches: the ur-Melenkari, the line of their ancient primacy and the senior branch from which the Cid and Emira comes. The Melenkuri (sometimes known as the lar-Melenkurion) is the cadet branch where non-direct family are settled. The inheritance for the titles and honours of House Melenkurion has been through matrilinear primogeniture since before recorded time, enshrining the rule that one's mother is always known, one's father not so much.

The House arms and crest are based on the Aureate Tyger, a species of hunting cat found on Ilushu-n\xe2sir, The field of blood-red traditionally used was formally agreed by the Imperial Heralds as fitting for a vassal of the Sarum Family. Before the tyger emblem, an ornate batlle horn is sometimes seen in early paintings and records, harking back to a time before heraldic devices when the kataphractoi of Lyr would be summoned by horn to their terrifying death-charge on the green-gold plains of Amarr.
