The Jin-Mei-Sino are a subculture whose history goes back to 'Solar Terra' (Earth) BEFORE the founding of New Eden.

One of the "Sino's" more interesting features is the dedication to early arranged marriage.

After a girl is born, her mother places her in the crib with a newborne boy.
The boy will be her daughter's husband for life.
The Mother then walks out of the girl's life.
She is unlikely to know even the name of the family she just gave her daughter to.

The boy's parents will name BOTH children and raise them as husband and wife.
At twelve years old, the couple's relationship is celebrated in a ceremony (simular to a wedding in other cultures) in which the two dedicate to each other.

Teen pregancies and birthes are common and even expected (some people say 'required').
Other moral, ethical, and social problems are rare to nonexistant.
Crime rates (particularly teen crime) is much lower than in other cultures.

Theana was fifteen years old and the mother of two boys (and their wives) when Serpentis raiders attacked her planet.
Her entire villiage was destroyed and Theana was the only survivor.
The trauma of the experiance bleached her hair and changed her to a very focused woman.
Theana has dedicated her life to ridding the universe of the Serpentis.

The Sepentis have started calling her 'The serpent killer'.
