Character Biography

Growing up in a small village just down from the icy climes of the Northern Mikramurka on Matar, Ara Moliko had little hate for the Amarr. Though the dormant volcano's warm vents in the lower slopes offer plentiful fertile lands and hot springs to calm the muscles, working the farms left little time to ponder the problems found on other worlds. Not least, he thought, his life already fared better than his Vherokior brothers burning in the deserts below. Life on his side of Matar was quiet, and Ara was content.

That is, until a letter arrived in the small wooden mailbox he had erected outside of his cabin, hoping to catch a letter from long-lost friends. The letter was short but commanding. It ordered Ara to leave his little slice of paradise, and report to the the nearest Republic University for capsuleer training. The logo of DED and Concord sitting on the right side of the letterhead was commanding enough to leave him little choice in the matter.

Taking the first steps down the narrow stairway carved into the the mountainous slopes, he couldn't help but feel a tingle of new adventures strewn across the horizon. Perhaps he himself could play a role in bettering the lives of people scattered across the galaxy.

Venturing out into New Eden however, Ara was quickly disillusioned by the callous actions of the warring factions. Wherever he looked, there were shadows deeper and more hideous than the next. All hope he had for humanity soon dwindeled to nothing.

At a bar hidden away in a small station in the system of Cadelanne, Ara met a man named Ocilan who shared his concern of New Eden. Through whispers in a dark corner, Ocilan spoke of the Equilibrium of Mankind.

The human race, Ocilan said solemnly, made a grave error in entering through the EVE Gate. Salvation can now only be found through purging humanity from the galaxy. This, Ocilan said, is the only way to correct humanity's mistake. Only through destruction can there ever be peace.

Ara could never find himself swayed by brittle religiousity, but perhaps Ocilan was right in one thing. Whether or not New Eden belongs to lazy inexistant gods is irrelevant - the evil of mankind is obvious.

And so Ara Moliko undocked, determined to once find Equilibrium in New Eden, whatever that might be. But what better goal could there be to work towards than a New Eden at peace with itself?
