God threw a brick through a big stained glass window. Then he said "Let there be light" and the myriad shards tumbling through space gave us stars, planets, individual perspective. He made us in his image and likeness. That doesn't mean we look like him, but what we see, each of us interpreting the prismatic distortion of the cosmic hologram as we peer through our very own tiny irregular bits of colored glass. That's why the universe is so f'd up. It was broken - in the beginning.
