Wumbo Wama

Captain [REDACTED], belongs to a dimension that has an organization known as "Starfleet", which was the space exploration and defense arm of a federation known as the "United Federation of Planets". Captain [REDACTED] was born on one of UFP's core planets, known as "Earth", and joined Starfleet, quickly scaling the ranks to Captain. Recently he decided to accept an assignment at Starfleet's most experimental research facility. It meant leaving his post as Starship Captain, but it was a rare opportunity that would not come again. He would be testing one of Starfleets latest experimental research project into alternative propulsion to replace the Warp Drive, the Interdimensional Drive (IDD). Something went wrong, and he was thrown across an unknown number of dimensions before finally being materiallized in the outer reaches of New Eden.

Barely conscious and with an inoperable ship, much less a salvagable IDD, he would have died...if it were not for a passing Corporation ship which rescued him...for the modest price of his experimental ship (Which they wanted to reverse engineer the unknown tech within). He was dropped off at a near by human civilised planet and brought back to full healthy status, but he had a choice to make, he could either live the rest of his life planet-bound in New Eden..or get adapted to a Capsule so that he could fly the vast distances in space to hopefully someday find a way back home...he choose to get adapted. Thankfully much of New Edens tech is eerily similar to, with the exception of clones and Capsules, that of his home dimension.

Assuming his new New Eden identity, "Wumbo Wama", he ventures off looking for any piece of tech, wormhole, or space anamoly that can bring him home or maybe he'll find the original corporation ship that resuced him and get his original ship back and in working order.
