It was so intense, that he didn't even notice the rest of Knuckles' release landing in and around his mouth, hot ropes of cum spurting onto his face. He shuddered as it died down, and he leaned against Knuckles' lower body as he caught his breath. As his mind began to refocus again, he became more aware of the unique taste of Knuckles' cum. It was thick, creamy, and he could detect a subtle sweetness to it, which was a pleasant surprise. He turned his gaze up to Knuckles, who was also breathing hard from the aftermath.

Knuckles' mind was finally coming down from the most mind blowing orgasm he'd ever had. He glanced down at Sonic, and saw the hedgehog was looking back up at him as well. They watched one another, both remaining silent. Until Knuckles began to chuckle. Sonic blinked in surprise. Unlike him, Knuckles didn't chuckle. He'd never heard him do it before.

“What? What is it?” He asked, confused. Knuckles wiped his eyes, still chuckling, before he composed himself. He gestured at Sonic.

“You, um... you've got a mess on your face.” Sonic blushed deeply, looked away, letting out an embarrassed chuckle of his own.

“I got a little carried away I guess...” Knuckles was quiet for a moment, before answering.

“There's a stream close by. You can wash up there.” Sonic made to get up, but froze in surprise when he saw Knuckles offering him a hand. Knuckles smiled down at him, an expression that Sonic RARELY ever saw on the echidna's face. He couldn't help but return a smile of his own as he took Knuckles' hand.

They had grown closer after that. Sonic admitting that he felt something more than friendship for Knuckles, after the Guardian inquired as to what prompted the surprise oral attention. Knuckles had also confessed feelings deeper than friendship. That was the day that they'd 'officially' begun their romantic relationship. And at the first of next month, was the 'anniversary' of that day.
