I am 2468 years old, have circled the galaxy, And seen every world and have concluded this...

I am this old because everlasting life really is possible. It has been for thousands of years. Ment for the ruling class I am a recipient of it. I was young and arrogant but that's foolishness now. I wander the universe searching for purpose.
We can't be immortal. We need three things to achieve immortality. First, we need to perfect morality. So we don't destroy each other. Second, we need total self control. So we don't destroy ourselves. And third, purpose, so we may desire life. However, Our treacherous desires cloud our morality. Also, our purposeless exsitence disturbs our quest for goodness. Yet if we were perfect in these things. We would need neither government nor sword.

I have decided to grow old and die. Perhaps my clone will discover something that I have not. In death I discover my creator. In life he discovers his purpose...
