The Plagioclase Protection Act (PPA), first published in YC 126, is a series of highly controversial and pivotal legislative bills aimed at regulating the mining activities in the Essence and Sinq Liaison regions of space. In a significant addition to the Act, Seyllin I, the first planet in the Seyllin system, has been designated as a New Eden Heritage Site. As part of the heritage protections, the Act strictly regulates mining activities in the Seyllin system.

Pirate Lords of War and the Daughters of Ane, to act as enforcers of the PPA within previously stated regions. Both groups, being deeply connected to the history and legacy of Seyllin I, are notorious for carrying out destruction of unauthorized mining equipment and vessels.
