Yuki Stadtfeld is said to be a heretic ... at least from the view of "True Amarian". Stadtfeld family - their origin comes from an ancient Mishi IV nobility - owns a ranch in their homeworld. She is contrary to the families phirosophy - and to a majority of the Ni-Kunni - , she hopes Ni-Kunni to independent from Amarr empire, rising against injustice, inequality and racism within the empire.
Ni-Kunni majorities are oriented to improve their status staying within the Amarr empire though, Yuki aspires to make Aridia indenpendent from the Amarr. She says the Ni-Kunni will never be free unless they become an indenpendent nation equal to other empires. In her word "Ni-Kunni is still trapped in the 1000 years old prison".
That said, Yuki had pretended to be docile to the empire. She joined Amarr Navy as the other Ni-Kunni do. There were no doubt the navy was full of opportunity to provide her leadership by nature. Yuki was blessed with the talent to win the comrades minds and integrating information. Naturally she was promoted to be a captain of the dreadnought. However, the more she makes success in her career, the more inequality she felt between Amarrian and Ni-Kunni, even within the navy. And by touring whole empire through the mission, she symphasized to the Minmatars. Eventually she concluded to let the Ammarians know they have no right to "enslave" other races at any degrees by freeing all the Minmatar people.
She left the Imperial Navy and started to share her knowledge about the empire with the dissident groups aligned with the Minmatar. Through the cooperation brought her watermanships for the Minmatar vessels, including the Naglfar class dreadnought.
She is now in the Anoikis to harvest Sleepers' data components for the Minmatars technological progress.
