"We Kakita's are a family of artists, and my art is that of the deal." - Umeko Kakita

I've looked to many fields to see what it is that I'd like to do with my life. Something to honor my ancestors, to show them and others that the proud traditions of my family live on. With the passing of my grandmother, Rekai Yasuki, last year, I found my direction.

The Yasuki family have been merchants and traders as long as our history dates back. My grandmother always told me that the marketplace required more art than science. As the Kakita's are renowned artists, I devoted myself to the art of the deal.

One day, I hope to be looked upon with the same respect that my honored grandmother garnered. But, I know that well be a long road indeed, one that the end of which I may never reach. But, with luck, hard work, and the blessings of my ancestors, one day... perhaps.
