After the Minmatar Rebellion, enrolled at the Pator Tech School. It was here that he learned about the universe around him, but didn't achieve a level that would earn him capsuler status. Disappointed, he traveled the stars as a scout in search of answers.

One day, he hacked a relic site and found a very rare artifact - so rare that no one could appraise it. Years went by, and many made him offers, but one man finally made him an offer he couldn't refuse: the artifact in exchange for capsuler status. The buyer, an Amarran priest, had lived a long life because of it and was ready to die. He told Mar that he regretted how his people enslaved his, and that this gift to him was a small way to making reparations.

Mar never learned of the priest's use for the artifact or if he ever died, but he now travels the stars as a capsuler. He never forgot where he came from, and he hopes one day to free his people from the Amarr. Oh yea, he's a pirate, too.
