Abushai

I am Abushai, my life is my story.

Like over one third of my countrymen, I was born a slave. For those who have never been, you can never know how absolute the bondage is in both body, and mind. Some of us had it worse than others, there's no denying that. What truly separated us, however, was the strength of our will... the will to survive.

Most were simply walking meatbags, going about our never-ending work with little left to identify the remains of what used to be a soul. A few of us, however, held onto our dreams to get us through our labour and rest. I've been both.

On my master's ship, we knew not "time," but would measure its passing according to the number of our brothers in chains that met death. Twenty-seven lifetimes, that is how long i have lived. Now, the days and years matter not... there is only one thing left to be done. I will not enter the eternal rest until those who bound me are destroyed. Every last one of them.
