I turned off the afterburner and unbuckled my safety harness. Running for the cargo hold I managed to grab my slug thrower and a couple shots. I opened the cargo can release doors to veiw the unadultered space of the wormhole system. Clean, quiet, and not a sleeper in sight. The drones tore away at the last few bits structure remaining on the nearby Amarr cruiser. Loading the gun, one shot into the breach; I flipped it closed and aimed at the enemy vessel.
"This is a big mistake!" Replied the com set to open frequency.
"Not as big as you coming here!" I replied. The mic was off, no one heard.
I aimed and waited as a light broke apart the shell of the structure revealing a devastated core pulling the surrounding explosion in. A rift perhaps? It didnt matter. The light from the explosion lit a small area in space as trails of plasma shot out from the core of the explosion.
An escape pod! I took aim...
