Most of her life, Deunan Kneute had fought a war that was, for the most part, over. She only knew that the war ended when Briareos (former lover who became a cyborg) and a Bioroid, Hitomi, found Deunan on a search and rescue mission. They took her away from her bleak existence to the utopia named Olympus.
For someone who knew a hard life, Olympus made a dream come to reality to Deunan. For the first time in her life, she experienced peace. Deunan joined the ESWAT team along with Briareos, which valued from her combat experience. However, a rose like utopia did have it's thorns. General Uranus, head of the Olympus army, a human and Bioroid hater, planned a coup-de-etat on Olympus. The key to stop this involved "Appleseed", which had something to do with her past......but what was it?
