Torakage

Born nameless and casteless in the depths of space,
Tora' was orphaned at birth when his stowaway mother
tragically died in child-labor aboard a Jin-Mei mining vessel.
The baby was saved and raised by the ship's Captain, Odajin
and his rag-tag crew of Jin Ko miners.

Tora grew up as the ship's mascot, earning his place among the
crew as a jack-of-all-trades. When he was officially adopted by
Captain Odajin at age 15, he received his Jing Ko status as well
as inheritance rights in the family mining company as Odajin's son.

A few years later Odajin was maimed in a pirate attack and a
teenage Tora' faced a bloody mutiny when he tried to take command.
He was able to retain a small crew of loyal specialists and with the
financial blessings of his Sang Do, founded the Taiyou Corporation
in the ancestral Jin-Mei homesystem of Lirsautton.
