The Open I exists to prepare for the forthcoming collapse of Eve's galactic society.
The old and moribund moral ideals, which have for so long vulgarised Eve's galactic culture, draw that culture now to the point of collapse. Everywhere, gigantic blob fleets coalesce to drag down the superior capsuleer, while timorous herds of the inferior band together in corporations of a thousand or more to resist him. Everything that protects Eve's weakest capsuleers or serves the ends of its "Ordinary Pilots" or "Majority" works in favour of the dominion of the inferior men. The Open I exists to bring this affair to the bar of judgement and set up in its place the doctrine of the order of rank.
