The Khanid have embraced much of Caldari culture over the past few centuries, combining it with Amarr culture to produce something unique within the Amarr empire, which is largely xenophobic. Among these radical people, the Dol'Amazi family is noted, particularly over the last few generations as producing some of the most radical thinkers. Among this family, Evangeline Dol'Amazi is known as quite "outside the box." Her design theories have met with resistance even among her own family. Having been put on a state of near permanent leave from the Khanid Navy, she is pursuing her theories in practical applications. As a result of her thinking, she prefers Caldari ships for their flexible missile designs. It is her hope to make the Khanid realize that while lasers have their place, their inflexible damage make them unsuited as the arbiters of ship to ship combat.
