Benjamin "Nightlash" Brown was born in the small city of Mantaki on Occupied Caldari Prime. His family were loyal to the Federation despite their hold over the Caldari Homeworld and he was raised to Cherish the Federation Ideals. However when he was 19 years old Nightlash as he was affectionatly called would come home to a burning house surrounded by Gallante Military who had chosen due to recent riots to make examples of the Caldari born.
With his family dead and a second mass exodus of Caldari out of the Occupied homeworld and the images of the death burned into his mind he fled. Apon arriving he Enlisted into the State War Academy. This did not go so well as revenge burned to deeply into him and he left the Academy without completing his tour. He struck out to find his fortunes among the stars.
