They believed that while the Gallente Federation excels at inspiring freedom, its vast border zones and newly colonized sectors are often left vulnerable to Caldari corporate raids, Serpentis pirates, and Guristas marauders.

Taking inspiration from ancient Earth history, the founders adopted the concept of the Phalanx—a formation where individual shields interlock to create an impenetrable wall. In the context of New Eden, this represents Gallente citizens standing together, using advanced drone swarms and remote repair networks to protect the democratic way of life.
