."Whilst many today consider the Lion to be merely a figure of ancient folklore, there are still a few among the more obscure paleontological community who insist that it was indeed a real creature, that roamed the savannahs of some long forgotten world.
Imagine if you will, a giant cat, larger even than the most massive slaver hounds, with the strength to topple a cow and possessing teeth & claws that could tear through human flesh with impunity.
Whilst the very notion of such a creature seems preposterous, there remain those who choose to call upon this mythical (or extinct) beast as an emblem of prowess, adorning their ships and insignia with its likeness."
