The Foundation Excavations corporation was created in YC 122 by Cahastir Fjakarr as both a planetary productions and a cosmic mining corporation, with a larger focus on the latter. In YC 123, this corporation was transferred to Raune Vimark.

Recruitment is currently open and a public channel is hosted at Foundation Excavations Public. Our Discord server is linked as the corporation website, the "URL" in "Attributes". To players, we offer:
- Weekly mining operations
- Random daily operations
- A healthy and chill environment
And players available to chat with and to conduct out-of-corporation activities such as exploration, industry, or PvE.
The only requirements set forth to its members are that they maintain activity within the corporation, preferably regularly participating in the weekly operations, and that they have Discord for out-of-game communication and voicechat.

The corporation, shortened to either "FE" or, officially, "FonEx", specializes in planetary production and in cosmic mining across empire space. To do this, the corporation hosts a mining fleet with vessels ranging from Ventures to Procurers, headed by Porpoise, and a logistical fleet composed of Miasmos.
The sale of company products is done at several locations, including the hub of Jita.

- Compressed ore including Veldspar, Scordite, Pyroxeres, and Plagioclase, and their variants
