Gembaku is a pro-Caldari military fleet created in 47 from the Yoiul Сonference to protect the Caldari borders from orbital bombardments by enemy states, as well as to carry out partisan activities on enemy territory. The fleet mainly consisted of refugees from the orbital bombardment of the planet IX in the Sujarento system, who, having lost their home, decided to take revenge on the Gallente Federation for their deeds. The initial role was to deliver cargo to the systems occupied by the enemy, as well as to cover the fleets belonging to Caldaria and its allies. The fleet for a long time did not have permanent centralized power and, in fact, it was a military formation without the status of an “official fleet and corporation” of the Caldari State. The status of “officially fleet and corporation” was obtained after the fleet preparing to be sent to the rear of the enemy unexpectedly received an order from State Protectorate stating that the main trading hub of the state was occupied by pirates and that all possible fleets in service should be pulled together for protection outside mediocre proximity, the main task of which will be to deter the enemy. For the first time, Major Upnoid was officially appointed in charge of the fleet, who successfully restrained the advance of the superior forces of the minmatar pirates, forming a "nuclear dome" around the station that held the defenses until the main fleet under the command of Mininela Erinen arrived in the system and destroyed the enemy. For services to the state, Upnoid and part of the fleet's capsuleers were awarded and appointed to the leading positions of the new corporation under the command of the great Caldari State.
