In-accordance with current regulatory practice, our organization has been employed with great authority to combat price gouging across all Empire space. Where CONCORD exists to punish those who destroy the property of others, GBoPE exists to punish those vampires who price gouge in High-Security space.
Across New Eden, from Domain to Sinq Liason, many snakes capitalize on what is effectively arbitrage, marking-up goods 50%, 100%, or even 200%+ the going market rate for any particular commodity. The authorities determined that this was getting out of hand and decided that something needed to be done to further unify New Eden.
We serve the public interest by identifying malevolent market behavior and stamping it out. Our ultimate goal is to establish a Unified High-Security Marketplace, expanding the consumer-friendly low-margin activity of our beloved Jita across all of High-Sec. Price gouging in low or null-security space is inevitable and permitted, as there is substantial risk involved. High-Security trade, however, involves trivially calculated risk, and as such, market price equalization is inevitable. We aim to accelerate price equalization across High-Security space by severely undercutting those who seek to price gouge.
As a result of our efforts, trillions of ISK have remained out of the hands of those who seek to exploit our fellow Capsuleers. Thanks to the generocity of those we serve to protect, our endowment stands at approximately 114 billion ISK. The gravest of offenders will meet a fate yet to be determined.
