EVE Mutual Investment Fund
The EVE Mutual Investment Fund (EMIF) works based on a share system. In purchasing a share you’re purchasing the right to the return we make on investing your money. Dedicated traders and market gurus frequently boast of a 30%-40% monthly return on invested capital because they understand the EVE market and dedicate countless hours to practicing their passion for investing. We realize that most players in EVE do not have the time or desire to play the .01 ISK game in Jita or to haul billions of assets into a far away station to make a hefty profit. Many of us would rather blow up assets than spend time trying to invest them! This is what makes EMIF so special. It puts passionate titans of industry in direct contact with copious capital so they can ply their trade while the space warriors of New Eden can earn a return on their investment to fit up ships and go pew!
EMIF works like any classic mutual investment fund: Investors purchase shares of the fund which are currently priced at 50 million ISK per share. This share entitles the owner to a payout of 10 million ISK per month – that’s a monthly return of 20%. Investors can purchase an unlimited amount of shares but only during the Open Enrollment Period which is the first and last week of every month. This is because a large part of our investments require time (swing trading, market arbitrage, etc.). In order to ensure we can at least meet the 20% payout mark our investment teams need the rest of the months to actually earn ISK! Similarly, large withdrawals during our investment cycle can harm the financial health of the fund, so we also impose a 20% penalty on withdrawals that occur outside of the Open Enrollment Period (i.e. the first and last week of each month).
