The Intrepid Society is a group of likeminded gamers, originally founded as a guild in World of Warcraft. As with many games, people tend to stop playing them from time to time. Based on the ideal of 'staying in touch even when playing other games', the move was made to expand into a gaming community, which means that the 100+ members are currently spread out across a variety of games, while staying in touch across a variety of social mediums. This structure allows for smooth switching between interests, with different games/events being hosted as people's interests dictate.

The Intrepid Society Corporation is an autonomous player driven organization.
We are a group of social players, and we firmly believe that social interaction is the glue that keeps us together as well as heighten our enjoyment.
As a corporation, we focus primarily on PvE content: mining, missions, industry, exploration, and incursions.
However, we recognize that opposition is a fact of life in New Eden, so we need to be ready to deal with threats as well as negotiations and trade. We are also interested in assets in space in the region, so PvP experience would also be useful in building and protecting our interests.
To support teamwork, we offer a variety of programs to members. We like to share information between us to help everybody to become better and get more enjoyment out of playing the game.
Our headquarters is located in the Solitude region.
We looking for players willing to go out and have fun, no matter the style of play.
