Roujun was born into a traditional Minmatar caravaneer family. He learned the values of family and honor early on from them. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when his caravan was attacked by Guristas pirates. His entire family was wiped out and he barely escaped in a damaged life pod he was too young to know how to fix.

He was stuck in a deadspace pocket for 2 days before miraculously being rescued by a group of explorers who ran down the weak signal from his tiny life pod. They were quite generous and decided to raise him as one of their own. Roujun was hesitant at first because there were members of all four races in the band but discovered that all races, even Amarr, had some good people in them. When Roujun came of age, his new family sent him off to the Pator Tech School, recognizing his potential for technical studies.

Roujun is fiercely loyal to his "family" which he sees as all of his close friends and corp mates. He is willing to go to any lengths to protect them.
