That's what Dad used to always say; it echoes in my head every time I get into my Venture the whole family saved up for. After getting radiation poisoning from mining, Dad had to hang up his suit and decided to pass it on to me. Mom always hated him for teaching me how to work in the mines; it takes more skills operating a mining ship when you could never afford those digital skillbooks.

I finally got into the Galente pilot academy when I outran some local Concord frigates in an asteroid field. After they caught me they gave me two options:

Fly for the Federation or suffer a stint in the worst holding compund this side of Verge Vendor.
