The children are taken and sold into slavery, chained to work a large mill, the Wheel of Pain. Conan survives into adulthood, becoming a massive, muscular man. His master notices this and eventually trains him to be a gladiator; receiving women as a payment for winning fights. After winning countless fights and receiving training and education in the East, Conan is finally freed.

While wandering the land as a free man, he gets chased by wild dogs and seeks refuge in a warrior's tomb, where he retrieves an ancient sword. Conan continues to wander the world, encountering a prophetic witch in a hut. Conan engages in sex with the witch and she tells Conan his prophecy. Conan has sex with the witch until she becomes a demon, then he tosses her into the fire and leaves.
