Merru was born on a passenger liner making its way towards Amsen. During her birth her mother died, leaving her and her brother to fend for themselves. When the ship docked they were guided off the ship and dropped off at the nearest orphanage. Life was hard in the orphanage and few made it out alive. Her brother saved up enough money to buy his own star ship and took off for the stars. Leaving Merru behind to fend for herself. When she was old enough she bought her own ship and joined her brother up in space.
