The Zeelanders are an old (if not ancient) Dutch mining family. When the nationalities merged the Zeelanders remained proudly Civire and joined the Caldari State after leaving the Gallente State recently over concerns that Gallente was becoming too Socialist. Scotty Zeelander thinks that CODE is a band of pirates and refuses to pay tribute to them. Extremely crafty and intellegent, Scotty Zeelander has been able to adjust to the rising and falling military and economic tides of New Eden. When Scotty is off mining he is usually sleeping, sometimes he loses ships this way but it doesn't bother him, he is rich anyway.
