Born from Caldari heritage from Engineering parents - his father the mechanically minded and his mother from the sphere of biology. Both parents too busy to raise a child but, knowing that he has the brains to figure it out.. was for the majority of his life.. left to his own devices. He learnt his parents trades at the dinner table, where they would discussion the problems they were facing at work, everything was shared... a problem shared, was a problem halved. And thats where most things were solved as well. Although their fields of speciality were different, they shared different perspectives, different philosophies and a diffent way to look at the problem...

Du Khaal parents were a great match, they differed in almost every respect. He liked something that she didnt, she wanted to do something that he didnt. And yet in every aspect that mattered they bonded and gelled like 'peaches and cream'... It facinated Du Khaal and both his parents. For intelligent people, they had no idea of how or why their love and marriage works. A universal enigma

What the hell would a biologist know about a 'phase-converter' or a mechanical engineer know about the life-cycle of the Eranisian Flu. It was almost as if they belonged in each 'others' field and not their own...

So, Du Khaal knew what it was to be both a 'mechanical engineer' and a 'biologist' and at rare times he saw WHERE the two fields amalgamated. His love for both fields grew with age.. Financially able to enrol and attend any of the Academies of Learning throught the system Du Khaal felt he wouldnt learn anything more from leaving and working with his parents.

His early life was no diffent to that of any other Caldari teen, except when they went to school, his school was space port, engineering and biology lab or the landscapes and wonders off world, the plains of Valmu, Shores of Caldeen and the Oceans of Paraxis. His friends were reading holos of wonders to see, that he was walking, swimming and uncovering. His friends were at lectures about phase-inductors and tri-conian power convertors and Du Khaal was experimenting on the next generation developments...
