As a licensed miner as my main, I whole Heartedly believe that AFK Mining and Bot Mining are just plain wrong. Im paying $15 USD a month to sit there and stare at my ship shoot a laser into a rock! Any other game that you 'mine' in you have to actively make your character mine, why is this any different? So since this is a sandbox and there are pirates, you can die. And besides, why would the renegade pirate not kill you anyway? if he can kill you, why not? Isnt that what he does? You can die at anytime from anything. If you DONT want to die, Then i suggest doing some research, getting some good fittings to prevent said dying. Then our faith in the people of New Eden Will be Restored.
So again......
