Vladimir "Volodya" Peshkov, was born a bastard to an influential New Petrograd boyar. Abandoned by his father, he lived with his mother, a maid, until he was 15, at which point he set out on his own. He became a crewman on the "Salty Joy", captained by his eventual friend, Grigori Sergeirovitch. By 21, he had made enough to purchase his own ship, the October Revolution, and went into some questionable business ventures with Grigori. Eventually, Grigori was captured and executed, but Volodya escaped. He now lives on in his friend's stead, waiting for his chance to take his brutal revenge on the universe.
