His original, JamesT Kahn, was killed during a short lived battle with low sec pirates. During the clone activation the data was inadvertenly split and even though the proper clone was activated the duplicate data was sent to an inactive clone belonging to another capsuleer that had died at the exact same time, causing it to awaken with the originals memories. After meeting Kahn, Clone has decided to work with him, as the two obviously have a lot in common. However, to prevent the two from driving each other nuts they keep their distance when not actively engaged in work.
