There's a place called ko-ko ridge.

A river rat's knee high,
Way up around the back border,
Lived a Girl
That the river folks talked about.

They said you better stay away from ko-ko jo,
'cause she's cause she's crazy no account.

Ko-ko jo
They called her the etowah river swamp rat,
The folks despised her.

She'd eat monkey meat and mashed potatoes.
She drunk a brew called mo-jo claw.
That she beat outa roots from old dead stumps,
On the banks of the etowah.

Made her walk a little funny
Made her breath smell funky.
Well she never come across the river,
'cause the folks didn't like her in town.

They said her hair was long,
Her clothes were dirty,
They didn't want her hangin' around.
