No living, thinking creature is ever at the command of any other. To think otherwise would be to expose one's own lack of will. Humanity did not evolve to exist inside the confines of a cage, guilded or otherwise.
We are living right now in an age where complete, unrestricted freedom is as easily attained as spending a handful of credits on the simplest of ships and plotting a course into the stars.
And yet, even in this era of techonological gods and endless life, many of us have willingly walked into brand new cages of our own creation. Effectively throwing this newly discovered freedom to the winds in the name of 'profits'.
I stand now before you as a human being. Stripped of my title and penniless, yes. But a human same as you. My desires are simply untainted with lust for wealth or fear of the unknown. I am just as God created me, a creature of intelligence tempered with a flaming soul.
