With both parents enlisted in the Republic fleet, Jerome's childhood was spent on ships and stations as they transferred from posting to posting, never staying in one location for more than a few years. Following in his parents' footsteps, Jerome enlisted in the Republic fleet and shortly after volunteered for the capsuleer program which he passed.
