Born in the Gallente system of Trossere to Caldari parents, Devin spent the first three decades of his life moving between Caldari and Gallente worlds. While inspired by the Gallente's enlightened attitude to his heritage, his ancestral bond to the Caldari is equally strong, and as such, Devin has ruled out participating in any direct hostilities between either empire.

While he respects the Amarr's pursuit of faith and the Minmatar's noble quest for freedom, he has no objections to working for either side against the other, as long as he is not asked to kill innocents or cause needless casualties.

While morally grounded, Devin is pragmatic and is under no illusions as to the political realities of New Eden. He knows that sooner or later one empire or the other may ask him to undertake missions that will alienate him from its neighbours, and that day is one Devin hopes to avoid.

Devin prefers the honest labour of mining, but also enjoys commanding ships with more teeth.
