Tsunxieh Kang was born in one of the shield-cities of Salashayma IV in YC96. The daughter of a nobleman, she became a political pawn in the Minmatar-Ammatar hostage exchanges that took place in the aftermath of the Elder War; youths sent across the border to ensure the terms of the ceasefire were honoured. After six years as a hostage, Tsunxieh was enrolled in the Republic University in YC116. Her hosts, seeking to foster pro-Minmatar sentiment amongst their charges, trained her as a capsuleer, hoping their magnamity would inspire separatist factions in the Mandate. Their plan backfired, and Tsunxieh swiftly escaped captivity. Returning to find her family long dead and their estates no longer extant, she found work as a corporate spy for the Mandate, usign her knowledge of the Republic to infiltrate Minmatar agricultural industries in Heimatar. In YC121, she was recalled from her mission to honour her military service obligations with the 24th Imperial Crusade, reaching the rank of Templar Lieutenant before retiring from front line duty. She returned to the Mandate in YC122, finding work with the Ammatar Consulate, and, in early YC123, she was appointed to official office as director of the nascent Ammatar Bureau of Secular Affairs.

Whilst a staunch nationalist and advocate for both the Ammatar Mandate and the greater Amarr Empire, her secular leanings and frequent clashes with local representatives of the Theology Council have led some to question her faith.
