Eriek is the oldest son of the Metsar family, lower holders who serve as retainers and military enforcers to the Ardishapurs. Their holdings consist of a small moon in Ardishapur space, upon which a profitable mining venture is overseen. The mines are worked by Ealurian slaves as the Metsars are weary of Minmatar with the exception of Kameiras, of which the family has a lodge. However most of the family's resources go to the funding of a small military force which serves as their tribute to the Ardishapurs. On top of this, the Metsar family consists of many cadet branches, with most of them bolstering the Metsar guard. Eriek has eleven brothers and four sisters. The youngest of the siblings is his brother Maikyl Metsar, who is a part of PIE's classiarii. The family also consists entirely of religious reclaimers, and are aggressive toward liberal holders in all diplomatic relations.
