Anne Marie Fortescue came from a wealthy family that despite its prestige, resided on the outer edges of mainstream aristocracy in the Federation. Her childhood was like most others of her peers, priveleged and free of the most common hardships. Yet she began to question the status quo, seeing corruption as a way of life for the family business and the government. Against her Family's wishes and staunch parental discouragement she joined the Federation military at 22. Upon being given her first command she marooned her small crew and made off with a Catalyst class destroyer vowing to help bring down the Federation and its corruption. She has been a fugitive ever since, making her way into Caldari territory searching for others like her.
