The Benois name has been passed down through generations of hardworking Minmatar tradesmen. Though not considered great in the eyes of politicians and leadership in the buisiness realm, the Benois' are stellar examples of the Minmatar workforce. Silas' no nonsense, nose-to-the-grindstone work mentality and limitless endurance is the product of a childhood spent in slavery after his parents where captured by Amarr slavers. The Benois family found themselves victims to the trade that their lineage have abhorred since its first appearence shortly after the end of the Rebellion. Silas continues his family's legacy of resistance to the Amarr Theodicy and the slave trade by plying his hands at several occupations to channel funds into anti-slavery campaigns and organizations. He is hesitant to engage in warfare in the name of his views in fear that political entanglement might corrupt his cause for fighting although he finds himself on the battlefront more often than he would like to admit.
