I grew up slaving on a mining rig. Mining is what I know so mining is what I do. High Sec, Low Sec, Null Sec. It doesn’t matter. But I have to admit. There is something satisfying about sitting on a cluster of High Sec rocks at 3 in the morning with a thermos full of sweet coffee and my feet up on the console.

My rig is a little worse for wear. Most rigs run a bit cold in space. My reactor is a used, thrice rebuilt piece of crap. It tends to run a bit hot. I scan it every week to make sure the radiation is still contained. It scares the hell out of me but it also keeps me on my toes. What can I say? One of these days I will be able to spring for a new one. I am sure as soon as I do, I will get my ass blown to hell greedin’ out for some juicy Low Sec Hedbergite.

I have friends but I keep them at a distance. I tend to go it alone a lot of times. I will ship up and roam from time to time but it is not my passion. I want to mine and I am starting to build parts. I never knew that I had the mind for it but my goods are starting to sell. I get the good mats and make the best parts. With a Sir name like “Wolf” in it you would think that I would naturally be a pack animal but most of the packs in New Edon are full of rabid dogs and not noble wolves like the ones in the Kipling novel. What was that one. Yea it was "The Jungle Book". I fear I am to be a lone wolf. That brings me to my given name. It also comes from a Kipling story. I am “The man who would be king”. I am not sure why my mother gave me the name. She had a thing for Kipling. I still have the library she gave to me as a kid. It was her only possession. Perhaps she thought striving to be a king would get me out of the slaver life or as warning of easy found success. Things did not end well for Daniel Dravot in the story.

Well, if I am to be a King or a Fraud, it is time to find out.
